My local Columbus practice is Endurance Athletes Physical Therapy and Sport Performance, LLC. It is a physical therapy practice dedicated to endurance athletes such as runners, cyclists, or triathletes – it is 100% endurance athlete specialized AND 100% focused on you during your entire visit. I treat your pain AND I treat the real issue causing your pain.
Why Dr. Brown Budde?
If you are suffering from a running or cycling related injury and want to both treat the injury and learn what modifications are needed to run or bike pain free in the future, you will not find better treatment in Columbus, the nation, or the world because of my unique combination of two key factors: specialization and patient attention.
1. Specialization
All physical therapists are specialists in biomechanics. I am 100% specialized, with advanced training, in the biomechanics of runners and endurance athletes. My life and passion is running and physical therapy, and I love running from all angles: I run… a lot. I read all the books, magazines, and research journals. I see patients in the clinic – both elite and novice. I regularly perform detailed biomechanical gait analyses. I cover running and cycling events ranging from local 5Ks to the Pelotonia cycling tour to the last Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. I lecture nationally to PTs and MDs on running. I love endurance athletics and physical therapy, and I am uniquely specialized to treat endurance athlete injuries. If you are interested in learning about my qualifications, I encourage you to read the about page.
2. Patient Attention
At Endurance Athletes Physical Therapy and Sport Performance the value of your individualized care is more important than my contract with insurance companies. This means that I am 100% invested in providing specific, individualized evaluations and treatment, planned specifically for what you need, rather than providing care based on what insurance companies decide is appropriate for you.
This means that I will always see you and you alone – not while also multitasking with 2-4 other patients at the same time. Your care will only be provided by me: a doctor of physical therapy, board certified in sports physical therapy, expert in running, gait analysis, gait retraining, bike fittings and endurance athletes, and an exceptional manual therapist. By providing one on one care, while providing the best evidence based and you-specific care, you can expect the fastest, best quality outcomes possible.

While I alluded to it above, we do not take insurance. For a detailed explanation of why we do not take insurance, click on the link below.
Why we do not take insurance
Many endurance athletes get hung-up on the cash structure, but I feel proud of what I can offer you under this service model. What service am I providing? I give you the endurance sport you love. I am your best option to either return to the sport you love as quickly as possible or to ensure you don’t unnecessarily miss future seasons or races due to injuries that could have been avoided if you had received a better understanding of your specific mechanics and weaknesses, and if you were treated with the appropriate steps to keep your own unique combination of issues and movement patterns from becoming an injury. Once an athlete has mentally committed themselves to an endurance event, the most common reason an endurance athlete does not complete a marathon, century ride, or triathlon is not lack of motivation. It is injury. For similar prices to services such as massages, coaching, personal training, or manipulations, and for a fraction of the cost of a bike or a plane ticket and hotel to your race, I can dramatically increase your odds that you will be healthy for the race you put in all those miles for.
